Editorial Policy

Coupon sites live or die on trust. This page documents, in full, how Hamed Coupons decides what gets published, how codes are tested, how they are ranked, and what we do when something goes wrong. It applies to every coupon, deal and guide on the site.

1. Where our codes come from

Codes reach us through three channels: direct relationships with merchants and their affiliate networks; official merchant campaign materials; and our editors' own monitoring of store promotions across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We do not scrape other coupon websites, and we do not publish user-submitted codes without independent verification. Every code is tied to a specific store and country, because regional storefronts often run different promotions.

2. How codes are tested

  1. An editor adds representative items to a real shopping cart on the store's local storefront (the Saudi site for Saudi codes, the Egyptian site for Egyptian codes, and so on).
  2. The code is applied exactly as a shopper would: in the promo/coupon field at checkout.
  3. A code earns the 'Verified' badge only when the discount is actually applied to the order total. Partial application (e.g. discount on some items only) is documented in the code's terms.
  4. The test is recorded: the coupon's last-tested date is updated and displayed publicly on the site and in our sitemaps.
  5. Verified codes are re-tested on a rolling basis — anything not re-confirmed within 24 hours loses its 'tested today' freshness signal until an editor confirms it again.

3. Ranking: how codes are ordered

On every store page, verified codes appear first, followed by unverified offers, then recently expired codes in a clearly labeled collapsed section. Within those groups, codes are ordered editorially by value and reliability. Merchants cannot pay for better placement, and commission rates play no role in ranking. If a 5% code is more reliable than a 20% code, the 5% code can rank first — reliability beats headline value.

4. Expired codes

Codes are never silently deleted. When a code fails re-testing or passes its stated validity window, it moves to the 'Recently expired' section of the store page with its expiry date shown. This keeps page URLs stable, gives shoppers an honest history, and lets you see exactly what changed and when.

5. Corrections

If you report a code that does not work, we re-test it within one business day. If it works for us, we will tell you the exact conditions that apply (minimum spend, exclusions, user eligibility). If it is genuinely dead, it is marked expired immediately. Factual errors in our guides are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, and significant corrections are noted on the page.

6. Affiliate relationships and independence

We earn commissions on some purchases made through our links. To keep this from corrupting the site: commission rates are never shown to editors before ranking decisions; no merchant can pay for placement, badges or removal of negative information; and we publish codes for stores that offer us no commission at all. If we ever accept sponsored content, it will be labeled unambiguously as sponsored.

7. Content standards

Guides and articles are written and reviewed by our editorial team. We publish only information we can verify ourselves — discount mechanics, store policies, campaign dates — and we cite our methodology when we publish data analysis. We do not invent 'exclusive' codes, fabricate urgency, or make claims we cannot support.
